The Club and Academy had numerous loan and dual registration players in action for their other sides at the weekend. U23 manager Danny Mills gives us the lowdown on how they got on!

Klaudio Krasniqi and Alex Brefo both featured in Lordswood FC’s 3-3 draw with Erith Town and both are doing very well so far.

Lewis Miller played for Lewisham Borough in their 4-3 win against Snodland Town, whilst Billy Craske and Briggs Ojemen both played in Glebe’s 2-0 defeat to Deal Town.

Bryan Akongo has played every game for Farnborough this season and an influential performance on Saturday helped them to a 3-1 win against Beaconsfield Town.

I also wanted to say it’s been a very exciting pre-season campaign for us, with some excellent players coming in to join the development set up.

Our season kicks off this Friday vs Sutton United at Hayes Lane, kickoff 8pm. We’d love your support under the floodlights!

Ones to watch this season and those who have particularly impressed me during pre season are Brandon Chambers, D’Jean Spencer, Jaedon Phillips, Jude Arthurs, Bobby Mills and Novell Bruce.

Academy graduates Klaudio Krasniqi, Alex Brefo, Rodney Adamon, Juliano Marku have impressed already, and we expect big things from them.

Second year scholars who have made the step up this season are AJ Martin, who has been exceptional during pre season, as well as Harry Thomas, Shiake Kamara Fiky and Kayne De’Silva, all of whom have been regularly featuring in U23 fixtures during the off season.

Lastly, another one to watch is Ollie Farmer, coming back after an ACL full rupture. He is starting to regain his fitness and is being reintroduced into full contact training. Ollie will definitely be one to watch for the season if he can get himself fully fit.

Bromley Football Club are delighted to announce that our Academy has been granted Full Status by the National League. Academy Director Mark Hammond shared his delight on the news…

“As part of the National League Youth Academy 2019-20 Category 4 application the Club had an audit on the 2nd July and we were successfully granted full status as well as receiving excellent feedback guaranteeing the future of our Academy.

This represents very positive news for the Club, the Academy and U23s side. An enormous effort went on behind the scenes from staff such as Tom Beaumont (Head of Education), Sue Whittaker (Head of Academy Operations) and support was provided by senior staff at the Club such as 1st Team Manager, Neil Smith.

We were assessed in key performance indicators, further commended on our Vision Football syllabus and player pathway. Although it was a very challenging process, as a Club we aim to take advantage of the opportunity to be compared with EPPP Football League Academies and to identify areas where we can improve.

The Academy we will receive a one day assessment visit this season (2020) by the F.A. and National League to ensure we have successfully worked towards the 2020-21 season.

I would like to thank the Club and staff involved to help ensure the Club is preparing for the future and are moving in the right direction.”
