Our Academy are on the eve of a historic FA Youth Cup 2nd round tie, as a clash with Portsmouth awaits on Wednesday evening.
There has been no time to dwell on Friday night’s 1st round success at home to Bedfont Sports Club, with the quick turnaround in games. The U18s trained on Sunday, Monday and will do so again on Tuesday afternoon following a tactical meeting in the morning.
The nature of the tie brings with it huge excitement, and also the opportunity for our Academy to make history by reaching the 3rd round for the first time.
As with any match, preparation is vital to help with the performance on the day. And, to assist with this, Club Chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves has personally covered the cost to provide the U18s and staff with the 1st team coach to travel to Fratton Park. The team will also meet at Hayes Lane for a pre-match meal provided by the Club, before setting off for Hampshire.

The Club will continue to provide further details on the cup tie as soon as we get them. However, at this stage it has been confirmed that this match will only be open to home supporters. Therefore meaning that no tickets are on sale to those wishing to travel on the day to support the young Ravens. We have enquired about the possibility of a stream of the game, we will update supporters should this option arise.
